The sky island lost its Shard. Its 3 Cores lie at the bottom of the world.
Punch a tree for Timber, dig down through soil and slate, and craft better picks from what you find. Each pick breaks harder rock, so every layer opens the next one.
Bring the Shard Cores back, light up the Shard Altar and restore the shard. Then the island is yours: build anything with the blocks you mined.
