About this island
This game is a walking game based on the “Kurofune Festival” held every May in Shimoda City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
The Kurofune Festival is a festival commemorating the historic event where American Admiral Perry visited Shimoda in 1854 and Japan and the United States first established formal diplomatic relations. It is known as a symbol of Japan-US exchange, and various events are held that combine local and international colors, such as parades, commemorative ceremonies, and the Lantern Festival.
In this game, players can enjoy the experience of freely walking around the virtual city of Shimoda, strolling around the cityscape, and interacting with other users, as if they were participating in a real festival.
