When something’s carved, put it back together…

Fortnitemares 2024 is here, and among the fiends and frights is something puzzling. That’s because the Fortnitemares Twitch extension is now available! If you follow participating Fortnite content creators on Twitch, you’ll notice puzzle pieces appearing on their streams. Collect pieces to complete the puzzle and earn The Carver's Challenge Loading Screen in Fortnite!

Fortnite The Carver's Challenge Loading Screen

It’s “trick or treat” with this Twitch extension, especially trick… Keep collecting pieces to build up a Takeover of another participating channel.

How to Search for Puzzle Pieces and Get the Loading Screen

To get started, check out the Twitch stream of any participating creator. If the creator has enabled the extension, catch different puzzle pieces by clicking on them during the stream!

Be on gourd guard — you only have a limited time to click and catch a puzzle piece. Otherwise it’ll disappear and you’ll need to wait for it to show up again! You can see a list of each puzzle piece type you’ve caught in the Collection tab of the extension. Once you complete the puzzle on Twitch, you’ll earn The Carver's Challenge Loading Screen in Fortnite!

Make sure you’ve linked your Twitch account to your Epic account for us to grant the reward. (Note: account linking can take up to 60 minutes to process.) The Carver's Challenge Loading Screen will be granted directly to your linked Epic account within 30 days or such other time as reasonably required by Epic. This Loading Screen may be available for purchase in the Fortnite Shop at a later date.

Climb the Leaderboards!

There’s also the Leaderboard tab in the extension — which tracks the number of puzzle pieces you’ve collected. (You can collect more than one of each puzzle piece type.) This tab has a “Channel Leaderboard” button and a “Global Leaderboard” button. Continue the puzzle piece hunt to climb both leaderboards!

The Channel leaderboard shows participants for the channel you’re currently watching, while the Global leaderboard shows participants across all participating channels. You can appear on the Channel leaderboard for as many channels as you’d like, so feel free to watch multiple channels. Please note that the Channel and Global leaderboards may update with a delay.

The Fortnitemares Twitch extension will be available until October 20, 2024, at 3 PM ET!

What’s a Takeover?

When a Twitch channel’s community collects a certain number of puzzle pieces total, the creator can choose another channel that has the Fortnitemares Twitch extension enabled to initiate a Takeover. The selected channel’s stream will be raided with pumpkins! That community can stop the Takeover faster by hitting the <3 Twitch emote in chat. After enough <3, the Takeover will end!

Are you a creator? Here’s how to initiate a Takeover:

  1. Click on your Twitch profile icon in the upper-right corner.

  2. Click on Video Producer.

  3. Click on Stream Manager in the left menu.

  4. Click on the grey tile with the puzzle piece on it. If you don’t see that tile, make sure to reload the page.

  5. This will open the streamer panel, where you can trigger a Takeover (once enough puzzle pieces are collected on your channel), see the Takeover history, and see your channel’s leaderboard.

Fix up what’s been carved up and have a happy Fortnitemares!
