Ranked and Tournaments

The beginning of Chapter 5 Season 3 means the beginning of Chapter 5 Season 3 Ranked! Your rank, among other factors, will be an eligibility requirement for Epic-hosted tournaments. These include tournaments for cosmetic prizes like FNCS Community Cups and cash-prized tournaments such as the Console Cash Cup. 

Below are the specific rank requirements for some of the tournaments happening this Season:

Chapter 5 Season 3 Tournaments


2024 FNCS Major 3

Congratulations to our winners from FNCS Major 2. By achieving victory, these competitors have qualified for the 2024 FNCS Global Championship! To see the Global Championship live in-person, grab your tickets now at fn.gg/tickets.

2024 FNCS Major 3 kicks off during Chapter 5 Season 3. Grab your Duos partner and prepare for the Open Qualifiers happening from June 14 to July 28! More details on 2024 FNCS Major 3 will be shared on our official Fortnite Competitive social channels.



Ranked Cups

In Chapter 5 Season 3’s Ranked Cups, players will have the opportunity to play Solo, Duos, or Squads against other competitors of the same rank pool, in both Battle Royale and Zero Build. For the Duos and Squads competitions, you’ll have the option to queue as an individual Fill player so you can be matchmade with other Fill players.  

The best competitors can excel with scrappy tools — earn at least 50 points in any Ranked Cup to earn the Ranker's Junker 'Brella!

Fortnite Competitive Chapter 5 Season 3 Open Cups

Cash Cups

Compete for cash during Chapter 5 Season 3 in Battle Royale Duos Cash Cups and Zero Build Duos Cash Cups! These Cups will have you engage in two rounds of intense Battle Royale competition. The top 40 Battle Royale Cash Cup duos teams and the top 25 Zero Build Cash Cup duos teams will earn cash prizes. 

Stay updated on the Cash Cup schedule in the "Compete" tab in-game.

Victory Cash Cups

Another opportunity to earn cash! 

Compared to last Season, Victory Cash Cups will have more formats for Solo Battle Royale, plus the all-new Solo Zero Build and Squads Battle Royale formats. After qualifying for Round 2 in a Victory Cash Cup, you’ll earn a cash prize with every Victory Royale obtained during that round! Find the schedule for Victory Cash Cups in the “Compete” tab in-game.

Console Cash Cups

Console players! In Chapter 5 Season 3, get your Duos partner and enter up to three Duos Console Cash Cups. These tourneys will only be available for players competing on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The Cups will be two rounds each — qualify for Round 2 for an opportunity to earn cash prizes!

PlayStation Cups

Playin’ on PlayStation? Compete in Fortnite PlayStation Cups from May 31 through June 15, 2024! There is a Cup for Zero Build and a Cup for Battle Royale, both being Solo competitions. See the schedule below:


Zero Build PlayStation Cup

  • May 31 - Zero Build PlayStation Cup Qualifier 1
  • June 7 - Zero Build PlayStation Cup Qualifier 2
  • June 22 - Zero Build PlayStation Cup Finals


Battle Royale PlayStation Cup

  • June 1 - Battle Royale PlayStation Cup Qualifier 1
  • June 8 - Battle Royale PlayStation Cup Qualifier 2
  • June 15 - Battle Royale PlayStation Cup Finals


The top 50 highest-scoring players from each Qualifier Cup will qualify for either the Zero Build Finals happening June 14, or the Battle Royale Finals happening June 15 (depending on if they qualified in Battle Royale or Zero Build). Players in both Finals will compete for a share of $250,100!

Where can I find the tournament schedule and rules library?

You can find the tournament schedule and rules library at fortnite.com/competitive under “Calendar” and “Rules & Guidelines,” respectively. You can also find your local region’s start time for a specific tournament in the “Compete” tab in-game.



Can I compete in multiple regions this Season?

You will only be able to compete in one region’s competitive offerings this Season. Once a player participates in a region in any competitive event, they will be locked to that region for any subsequent sessions of that event, as well as all sessions for future events in the Season.



What is the best way to report a suspected cheater in tournaments?

Please report any suspicious activity in our official Tournament Support Discord server and through the in-game reporting tools. You can also use the Discord server to report any tournament issues or bugs experienced during tournament gameplay.
