Fortnite Competitive Update: Arena Adjustments, Competitive Support Discord and More

Competitors,
We hope you’re enjoying Chapter 3 Season 3 so far! We wanted to touch on a few of the competitive offerings this Season, some Arena adjustments, and other topics that we know you’ll want to hear.
Arena Adjustments
Our intention is to provide a better quality matchmaking experience for players of all Hype levels. Progressing to later Divisions in Arena may take longer for some, but the quality of games along the way should be improved from previous seasons. Players in our top Divisions may experience longer matchmaking queue times in an effort to provide quality matches.
Super Hype Cups - Jump Start Arena Progression
If you want to get a head start on your Arena progression, make sure you play in our Super Hype Cups on June 18 and June 19. You’ll have the opportunity to earn a significant amount of Hype to start the competitive season that could immediately place you into higher Divisions after we reset Hype on June 21. Any Hype earned during these cups will be awarded on June 21 after Hype resets.
First Cash Cups
Our first wave of Cash Cups begins with the Zero Build Fridays and the Quick Cash Cups on June 24, followed by the Duos Cash Cup on June 25. Players must reach Contender League by then to be eligible to participate in these events.
Zero Build Fridays do not have any Arena division requirements. However, your Epic account must be level 100 to be eligible to participate. Check your Epic account level in the Career Tab in-game. For all eligibility requirements, please read our Fortnite Cash Cup & Hype Cup Chapter 3 Season 3 Official Rules that will be in the Tournament Rules Library later next week.
Starting June 27, the Solo Cash Cup, Console Solo Cash Cup, Duos Cash Cup, and Trios Cash Cups will require reaching Champion League in Arena.
The Player Pointer - Helpful Tips and Reminders
When competing in any top-tier tournament with set lobbies, players should consider mastering different drop strategies and drop spots. Over the course of several games, circumstances may change causing different strategies to become more favorable. We encourage players to explore these different options and utilize them when necessary.
Claim Your Competitive Prizes
This is a reminder to all competitive players to claim your competitive prizes by completing the prize verification process when those prizes are released. Log into epicgames.com/competitive to view any prizes that you currently have available. As stated in our rules, if you do not complete the prize verification process within 45 days from the date an official prize notice was sent, that prize may expire. Go claim your prizes!
