Fortnite FNCS Grand Royale - All Details

Hey Fortnite Competitors,

With a share of just over $5 million up for grabs, the FNCS Grand Royale is our largest prized competition this year. We’ve put together a unique format and ruleset for the event and wanted to share it with you ahead of the Chapter 2 Season 8 FNCS starting later this week.

As a reminder, any eligible player who has made a single-lobby round of FNCS (Round 4 of an FNCS Qualifier, Semi-Finals, or Finals) this year may make a Trio for the event - this includes Chapter 2 Season 8 FNCS. This means an eligible player may make a full Trio with any two players who are otherwise eligible to participate, regardless if those players have made a single-lobby round of FNCS this year. Select your teammates wisely. Once you’ve started the FNCS Grand Royale with a team, you cannot change teams for the remainder of the event.

FNCS Grand Royale Prize Pool

Here’s the quick breakdown of the Prize Pool for each region. Only the top 33 teams in each region will earn a prize. For the full breakdown of prizes for each placement and the full details of the FNCS Grand Royale, please read the FNCS Grand Royale Rules.

FNCS Grand Royale Format

We’re breaking out a brand new format for the Grand Royale. The competition will take place across two separate weekends. The first weekend (November 11-14) is reserved for the qualifying stages and the second weekend (November 19-21) is the Finals. Dates listed below are for all server regions besides the Middle East region. The Middle East region’s competition dates are one day earlier than listed below.

Load Session - November 12

The competition begins with an open 3-hour session where teams have up to 10 matches to earn as many points as possible. From there, teams will be placed on two paths, the Victory Path (top 33 teams) and the Reload Path (everyone else). The Load Session and Reload Path will follow this scoring format:

At the end of each session, teams will receive Consistency Points and the team with the most cumulative Consistency Points at the conclusion of the Victory Path sessions will advance as the 33rd team in the Finals.

9th Place - 20 Consistency Points
