Hey all!
Fortnite: GALACTIC BATTLE is upon us. Competitive-wise, this Battle Royale Season kicks off with Community Cups to celebrate the FNCS Pro-Am. FNCS Divisional Cups will resume on June 18 for Major 3, after GALACTIC BATTLE ends. In the meantime, Division 1 and 2 players are invited to three FNCS Showdown Cups to keep the trio competition going.
Before we get into these and the rest of the tournament offerings — including Console Victory Cash Cups — read on for more opportunities to earn the Elite Zadie Outfit!
Earn Elite Zadie from Ranked Cups
Elite Zadie eluded you? In Ranked Battle Royale and Ranked Reload Cups happening in the May 13 to June 1 time window, you’ll have the opportunity to earn the Elite Zadie Outfit by being among the top points-earning teams in your region.
As a bonus, earn 50 points in any Ranked Cup this Season to earn the Ranker’s Death Star Umbrella!
Earn XP in Tournaments
All tournaments in the future will award passive XP — so the longer you survive, the higher the reward! This is a great way to boost your progress in the Battle Pass and any other Passes you have.

If you’re not attending the FNCS Pro-Am in-person, be sure to watch it via broadcast starting May 10 at 2 PM ET / 11 AM PT on twitch.tv/fortnite.
The preshow starts at 2 PM ET / 11 AM PT, and the first match starts at 3 PM ET / 12 PM PT.

Look out for Pro-Am Quests beginning May 3 at 9 AM ET / 6 AM PT you can complete for XP. Completable across multiple Battle Royale experiences, these Quests will be rolling out until May 8!
FNCS Showdown
No FNCS Major this Season, but players in FNCS Divisions 1 & 2 qualify for three FNCS Showdowns! These are two-round Trios Battle Royale events with a single lobby final and cash up for grabs. Qualification is based on the region(s) you previously earned Division 1 or 2 in. These matches have no impact on Fortnite Global Championship qualification — we’ll get back to that in June!

Console Victory Cash Cups
Victory Cash Cups return! After qualifying for Round 2 in a Victory Cash Cup, you’ll earn a cash prize with every Victory Royale you get during that round.
Because these are Console Victory Cash Cups, only players on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch are eligible to enter!
There will be three Console Victory Cash Cups this Season. They’ll be in the Duos format, and your teammate can be on the same or different console type.
Fortnite OG Cups
Drop into OG Cups the same way the meteor’s dropping during OG Chapter 1 Season 3! We’ll be continuing to host regular OG Cups for some friendly competition throughout May.
Learn more about the Fortnite OG Cups, Console Victory Cash Cups, FNCS Showdown, FNCS Pro-Am Community Cups, and Ranked Cups in the Compete tab in-game starting tomorrow.
Simple Edit in Tournaments
To make tournament play more accessible, players will be able to enable Simple Edit in tournaments starting this Season.
Editing is one of the core mechanics that make Fortnite Battle Royale special, but its input complexity gives it a significant barrier-to-entry. This is where Simple Edit comes in — we launched this feature in Chapter 6 Season 1 as a more approachable alternative that offers a simplified input scheme in exchange for less flexibility with a limited set of edits.
The goal of Simple Edit is to allow more players to participate in a cornerstone mechanic of the game, without invalidating investment from seasoned players.
We kept Simple Edit out of competitive play in the early days so we could have a chance to get feedback, find bugs, tweak the balance, and ensure that it worked as intended. Now that we’ve solved key issues, we’re enabling it in all levels of play.
For some players, Simple Edit may be your stepping stone on the path to learning standard editing, and for others it may just be the way you prefer to edit in the future. We believe that you should be able to test your skills and compete no matter what your choice is.
Your feedback, either as a user of Simple Edit or someone playing against others who use Simple Edit, is invaluable in helping us make the best possible version of it we can.
