It is a Competitive Violation to Buy a Fortnite Account for Sale or to Share an Account
We want to remind the Fortnite competitive community to only use Epic accounts that are registered in your own name. Participating in a tournament on an account that has been previously purchased, gifted, or otherwise transferred from another player is a violation of the Epic Games Terms of Service and the Fortnite Competitive Official Rules.
If we discover that you are participating (or have participated) in a tournament on an Epic account registered in another player’s name, you will be subject to disciplinary actions as described in Section 9.2 of the Fortnite Competitive Official Rules. These actions may include, but are not be limited to, disqualification from that tournament and loss of entitlement to any prizes that would have otherwise been awarded from that tournament.
Separately, we will disable the account and any cosmetics, and leftover currency on the account at deactivation will not be transferred.
If you are playing on an account that you did not create, we recommend you either immediately start using an account you did create, or create a brand new account. Please remember that if you have already participated in FNCS on one account this season, you will not be eligible to participate on a seperate account in FNCS this season (rule 3.7.4 reads: Players may only have one (1) entry (using one (1) Epic account) into the Event for a given session. Players are expressly prohibited from having additional Event entries using additional or secondary Epic account(s), and/or participating from more than one (1) Region.)
For those of you who compete in our prized competitive events, you must also create a new Hyperwallet account. Follow these steps to ensure a successful transfer of payment information:
- Contact Hyperwallet to close your current Hyperwallet account that is associated with the previous Epic account and ask them to release the email as a unique identifier.
- Complete the Tax Interview on the new, registered Epic account through the Competitive portal (only available after winning a prize award).
- Register your Hyperwallet account with your Tax Profile and new Epic account details.
