Late Game Arena is coming back to Fortnite on October 5!
To lead up to the return of Late Game Arena you’ll have the opportunity to compete in the Late Game Solo Cup on October 1, followed by the Late Game Trios Cup on October 2.
We wanted to bring the mode back with meaningful improvements based on your feedback. Let’s take a look at most of the changes we made to the mode.
New Late Game Solo Cup
We’re making Late Game Solo Mode available for the Solo Cup on October 1. The Solo mode includes eight new loadouts balanced for Solo play. Once you play in the Late Game Solo Cup, let us know your feedback.
Trios Fill Enabled and Loadout Updates
If you don’t have a full Trio - no sweat - Fill has been enabled! We’ve also updated the original nine loadouts for the Trios mode to be more in line with the current season‘s competitive loot pool.
So Much Hype
In the original Late Game we saw how much fun you had with Arena leaning towards a fast-paced brawl and Tournaments being more akin to standard competitive play. With that in mind we’ve changed the Arena Divisions to have no bus fare and added long-term goals, especially for you grinders. We’ll be experimenting with a variety of Tournament formats over the Season to provide a more serious environment that represents what you might see in an FNCS final. We’ve also fixed the hype leaderboard!
Reboot Vans
Reboot Vans are now in by popular demand! Who doesn’t love a good reboot in the 5th zone?
Other Late Game Updates
Here are a few other items we addressed in Late Game:
- The first new zone forms 30 seconds faster. This will get you into that late game feeling that bit quicker. We may tweak this further depending on your feedback.
- Loot on the starter island will now match the custom loadouts.
- Alien Slipstreams are disabled at the start of the match.
- You may see these look as though they are active, however, once close enough you’ll see they are disabled.
- We had some issues with the storm not behaving properly in the original Late Game. This is fixed.
- Occasionally matches wouldn’t fill with all 60 players. This is now fixed.
