FNCS is back for 2023 with a new “Major” structure, a $10,000,000 total prize pool, and a Global Championship in-person event! Each FNCS Major will be crucial to earning your spot in the Fortnite Champion Series Global Championship 2023 taking place in Copenhagen, Denmark in late 2023. Ready up for FNCS Major 1 kicking off on Thursday, February 2, 2023.

FNCS will be returning this year in a duos format for 2023 and FNCS Major 1 will temporarily replace the Elite Divisional Cups for a total of five weeks, and players that earn Elite Division in Chapter 4 Season 1 will unlock participation in FNCS Major 1.
FNCS Major 1
Fetch your duos partner and prepare for the FNCS Major 1 to begin on February 2, 2023. This FNCS Major will take over Elite Divisional Cups for a total of five weeks during Chapter 4 Season 1, and players who earn Elite Division in this Season will unlock participation in FNCS Major 1.
In the FNCS Weekly sessions during FNCS Major 1, scores will be combined across both Thursday’s and Friday’s FNCS Major Weekly Competition sessions. Following the conclusion of the Friday session, the top 50 duos from each region will qualify for that week’s FNCS Major 1 Weekly Finals.
At the end of each weekly FNCS Major 1 competition, every duo that competed will be awarded Series Points based on their performance and results from that week. The top 40 duos that earned the highest cumulative points on the Series Leaderboard across three weeks will advance to the FNCS Major 1 Grand Finals.

FNCS Major 1 Surge Week
Duos that place 41st through 90th on the Series Leaderboard after 3 weeks of FNCS Major 1 weekly competition will advance to the FNCS Major 1 Surge Week. These duos will compete in five FNCS Major 1 Surge Week matches for an extra opportunity to earn one of the last spots in the FNCS Major 1 Grand Finals.
The five Duos who claim a Victory Royale during any one of the Major 1 Surge Week matches will immediately advance to the Major 1 Grand Finals, and the next 6th through 10th highest-scoring duos from the Leaderboard will also advance to the Grand Finals based on consistency.
FNCS Major 1 Grand Finals
The FNCS Major 1 Grand Finals will be held in March 2023, which will have opportunities to advance to the Upper Bracket of the FNCS Global Championship 2023 in late 2023.
The FNCS Major 1 Grand Finals will take place across two days of competition, with six matches each day for a total of twelve matches. Duos with the highest cumulative points on the applicable FNCS Major 1 Grand Finals leaderboard will win a piece of the $2,000,000 prize pool, and the best in each region will advance to the FNCS Global Championship 2023. FNCS Last Chance Major
After FNCS Majors 1, 2, and 3 have concluded, there will be one final FNCS Last Chance Major as the last opportunity to qualify for the FNCS Global Championship 2023.
The FNCS Last Chance Major will be held on August 24th - 27th. The Top 250 duos in Round 1 of the FNCS Last Chance Major will advance to Round 2 to compete across two days with six matches each day (for a total of twelve matches). Mark your calendars and prepare to claim your spot among some of the very best!
Fortnite Champion Series Global Championship
In Q4 of this year the Fortnite Competitive team plans to host the FNCS Global Championship 2023, an in-person LAN tournament, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Prepare to watch — or to be one of — 75 of the best duos from around the globe compete for a share of the $4,000,000 prize pool! These duos will be competing across a new Upper and Lower bracket format.
Upper Bracket
50 Upper Bracket duos will compete in 5 matches on Day 1 of the FNCS Global Championship 2023. The top 25 duos with the highest cumulative points on the Leaderboard after 5 matches will advance to the Grand Finals on Day 3. The 25 duos with the lowest cumulative points on the Leaderboard after 5 matches will be relegated to the Lower Bracket and will compete on Day 2.
Lower Bracket
On Day 2, 50 Lower Bracket duos will compete in 5 matches for the last opportunity at earning a spot in the FNCS Global Championship 2023 Grand Finals. The highest-scoring 25 duos after 5 matches will advance to the Grand Finals.
Grand Finals
The world’s best duos from the Upper and Lower Bracket will compete in the FNCS Global Championship 2023 Grand Finals over 6 matches to determine which duo will be crowned the 2023 Global Champions!
