Rubius (and Wilson!) Join the Fortnite Icon Series
He’s rubbed shoulders with Hollywood legends, created his own anime series, and set the gaming world alight with his songs, skits, and streams. Now, Fortnite’s biggest content creator in the Spanish-speaking world Rubius is about to join the Icon Series!
Wear Rubius wares when his items hit the Shop on September 25, 2024, at 8 PM ET — including the Rubius Outfit with a MadKat Style and the pawsome Wilson Back Bling that features his legendary cat.

MadKat or CoolKat? - Rubius Bundle
With a massively successful clothing company behind him, Rubius brings all the style you’d expect for his Icon Series launch. Whatever your fashion sense, the Rubius Bundle has a look for every occasion! This bundle includes four things that are alternatively available individually:

Rubius Outfit
With the Rubius Outfit, customize your look by toggling a lighter or darker hairstyle, and sunglasses on or off! Also take a walk on the wild side with the MadKat Rubius alt Style. Recognize the design? It’s inspired by Kevin the Cube, and draws influence from Rubius’ clothing company MadKat!
Rubius has starred in every format you can imagine… Comics, anime, movies, you name it! With that in mind, it’s only right that Rubius is in LEGO® form with his own LEGO Style:
Wilson Gear Bundle
Rubius, the purveyor of Pickaxes and all things purrfect. He isn’t the only one coming to the Icon Series — his real-life cat Wilson is heading to Fortnite with the Wilson Back Bling! This reactive Back Bling springs to life with an adorable meow with each elimination you get.
The Wilson Back Bling is included in the Wilson Gear Bundle, which also contains the Moon Flame Pickaxe! The only claw a MadKat ever needs, give it a swing and you’ll notice the flame surrounding the blade get stronger as you hit Weak Points.
When the Wilson Back Bling and Moon Flame Pickaxe are equipped at the same time, Wilson will hold the Pickaxe for you when you’re not using it. That’s one tough cat!
Flamitas de Kevin Wrap
Where there’s Kevin, there’s fire. Harness the energy of the sentient cube with the Flamitas de Kevin Wrap! When it gets darker on the map you’re on, mysterious Kevin the Cube glyphs will start appearing on your weapon.
ASMR Keys Emote
Rubius became an Icon behind the keys, so don’t be afraid to take a keyboard with you by equipping the ASMR Keys Emote! There’s never a bad time for the soothing sound of clicking and clacking…
Get Ready to Rumble in the Rubius Icon Cup!
Rubius brought together 100 YouTubers in 2018 for Fortnite Battle Royale, and we’re paying tribute to that sense of comradery with the Rubius Icon Cup. Get your best bud and fight for one of the top spots in this Battle Royale Duos tournament on September 21!
The rewards? The top point-earning duos in each region will get the Rubius Outfit, Wilson Back Bling, Moon Flame Pickaxe, and Flamitas de Kevin Wrap before they make their Shop debut, plus the E-meow-ticon Emoticon and Limonada Emoticon! Teams who earn at least eight points will unlock the SquareKat Spray.
Competitors can play up to ten matches within their region’s three-hour time window, and the specific event timing for each region can be found in the “Compete” tab in-game. Scoring will follow the format below:

Among other requirements, players must have Two-Factor Authentication enabled and verified on their Epic account, be at Account Level 15 or above (you can find your Account Level in Fortnite’s “Career” tab), and be at Bronze I rank or above in Ranked Battle Royale to participate. Players with Cabined Accounts are not eligible to take part in this tournament.
