Monster Tales - Nightmare Episode 2 “Alternate Faces”

While searching for abandoned roads, college student Lotus finds a strange Jizo at a mountain pass that isn't on the map. The face was completely worn out, and beside the stone statue wearing layers of old human clothing, there was a sign with the inscription “Never Worship.” Lotus, who doesn't believe in the occult, unwittingly puts her hands together as she passes by. Right after, my face in the mirror fades day by day, and my “other self” begins to be sighted in the city. What Lotus, who was driven by fear and revisited the mountain pass, saw was “something” sitting on a pedestal with the same face as herself instead of Jizo. A nameless person who has taken away the presence of those who have worshiped and kept waiting for an opportunity to go down the mountain as a human — that voice whispers in the voice of a lotus. “Thank you for praying.” A well-intentioned prayer invites fear of irrevocable replacement.
