Fortnite Crew Will Include the Battle Pass, LEGO® Pass, Music Pass, and More Starting in December!
Following the announcement that all passes in Fortnite will progress simultaneously, it’s time for Fortnite Crew to evolve as well!
For $11.99 a month, a Fortnite Crew subscription currently grants the Battle Royale Battle Pass, 1,000 V-bucks, monthly Crew Pack outfits, and the bonus benefits of Crew Pack outfit styles and Rocket League’s Rocket Pass Premium.
Starting December 1, Fortnite Crew will also include the Music Pass and LEGO® Pass at no additional cost! As an active Fortnite Crew subscriber you’ll be able to claim premium rewards from all passes in Fortnite starting December 1, and playing any experience will progress all of them simultaneously, yielding a ton of rewards as you gain XP.
When any new passes arrive in Fortnite, they will also be added to your Fortnite Crew subscription, including the new Fortnite OG Pass! More details on Fortnite OG: Chapter 1 - Season 1 will be shared ahead of its launch on December 6.
Battle Pass Premium Reward Access Changes
Here’s the way a Fortnite Crew subscription currently works: when a new Battle Royale Battle Pass goes live, you can unlock and claim premium rewards from the pass as long as it is live, even if you unsubscribe from Crew during that time.
For new subscribers beginning December 1, 2024, at 5 AM GMT/UTC, premium rewards on the Battle Pass will only be available to claim if your Fortnite Crew subscription is active. This means if you cancel Crew, you'll be able to claim premium rewards from the Battle Pass until the end of your current billing period and not for the remaining duration of the pass.
For players who are currently subscribed to Fortnite Crew or subscribe before December 1, 2024, there will be no change to how you claim premium rewards on the Battle Pass. If you cancel after December 1, 2024, and resubscribe after your subscription has lapsed, you’ll be considered a new subscriber, and claiming premium rewards on the Battle Pass will require an active Fortnite Crew subscription.
An active Fortnite Crew subscription is required to unlock and claim premium rewards on the Music Pass and LEGO Pass for both new and existing subscribers, as well as any other passes added in the future.
If you purchase the Battle Pass, LEGO Pass, or Music Pass separate from Fortnite Crew, you’ll still be able to unlock and claim premium rewards on those passes individually as you normally would.
The Fortnite Crew Subscription Terms will be updated accordingly on December 1, 2024. For more details on the changes, please visit https://www.fortnite.com/news/fortnite-crew-terms.
Battle Pass V-Buck Cost
Also changing on December 1 is the price of the Battle Royale Battle Pass, which is going up 50 V-Bucks from 950 to 1,000. The real money price of V-Bucks will remain the same, and you’ll still be able to earn V-Bucks through leveling the Battle Pass. The 25 Battle Pass Reward Bundle will now be available for 1,800 V-Bucks (down from 1,850), and the Battle Bundle of both the Battle Pass and 25 Battle Pass rewards will be available for 2,800 V-Bucks.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: If I cancel my Fortnite Crew subscription, will I lose the premium rewards that I’ve earned from my passes?
A: No, the premium rewards you’ve earned from passes through Fortnite Crew are yours to keep.
Q: If a Season ends and I haven’t claimed all my unlocked rewards, will I lose those items I’ve earned through Fortnite Crew?
A: No, any items you’ve unlocked and have yet to claim will be auto-claimed for you at the end of a Season, added to your Locker, and available to equip the next time you log in.
Q: Can I still buy passes individually? Are they still the same price?
A: Yes, you can still purchase the passes individually. Starting December 1, the price of the Battle Pass is going up 50 V-Bucks from 950 to 1,000. The Music Pass and LEGO Pass will remain the same price of 1,400 V-Bucks.
Q: What happens if I already purchased a pass but want to subscribe to Fortnite Crew, will I get V-Bucks back?
A: If you subscribe to Fortnite Crew within 14 days after purchasing a pass, you will automatically receive a one-time grant of the V-Bucks you paid for the pass back. Note that this will also mean the pass will convert to requiring an active subscription to unlock and claim premium rewards. If you buy a pass and subscribe to Fortnite Crew more than 14 days after, you will not receive the one-time V-buck grant and that pass will not require an active subscription to unlock and claim premium rewards.
Q: My Fortnite Crew subscription ended, why aren’t my premium rewards unlocking in the passes?
A: If you subscribed to Fortnite Crew after December 1, you will only be able to unlock and claim premium rewards while your Fortnite Crew subscription is active until the end of your current billing period.
Q: Is how I claim premium rewards with Rocket League Rocket Pass Premium through Fortnite Crew changing?
A: The bonus benefit of getting Rocket League Rocket Pass Premium through Crew will remain the same, meaning claiming premium rewards on the pass will still be tied to its duration and not to your Fortnite Crew billing period. If you subscribe to Fortnite Crew and then cancel, you will still be able to claim premium rewards on Rocket League Rocket Pass Premium through the end of that current Season.
