Sponsored Row campaign tools are now available in the Creator Portal, and you can begin setting up campaigns today to bid for increased visibility in Discover. Submit your first campaign no later than November 19 to be eligible to appear in the new Sponsored Row, which goes live on November 21.
Sponsored Row Overview
Sponsored Row in Discover offers you the choice to spend money to receive increased visibility for your islands. You can create and manage campaigns in the new Campaigns tab of the Creator Portal.
- Access historical market data to help you set competitive bids and budgets.
- Bid for placement in the Sponsored Row.
- Adjust spend and campaign length to meet specific goals, whether testing early content or supporting a major launch.
- Pause or cancel your campaigns at any time.
Once your campaigns are live, you’ll be able to monitor performance, budget, delivery rate, and engagement metrics — including impressions, cost per 1,000 impressions (CPM), and clicks — directly in the Creator Portal.
Sponsored Row will appear prominently in Discover on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Android, iOS, and iPadOS. It will not appear on Nintendo Switch platforms, cloud-streaming services, or Fortnite.com. Players under the age of 18 will not see the Sponsored Row. All other rows in Discover remain unchanged, continuing to provide editorial and organic visibility for islands.
Getting Started with Campaigns
Before setting up your first campaign, you’ll need to review and agree to the Fortnite Content Terms in the Creator Portal, and review the updated Fortnite Developer Rules (Rule 5. Sponsored Row Content Rules).
Here’s what you need to know about scheduling your campaign:
- Submitting your campaign: Campaigns must be submitted at least two calendar days before your desired start date to allow for content review.
- Finalizing your bid: The bid that you set in your campaign can be changed until 23:59 UTC the day before your desired campaign start date.
- Going live: Campaigns with winning bids will go live in the Sponsored Row at 00:00 UTC on the campaign start date.
Example: If you want your island to have an opportunity to appear in the Sponsored Row on November 21, submit your campaign by November 19 at 23:59 UTC and finalize your bids by November 20 at 23:59 UTC.
